Ah, beef jerky,
Leath'ry meat...
Strips of heaven,
What a treat!
Zesty, salty,
Dried-out cow,
Don't want it later,
I want it now!
So many flavors,
Oh, how they mock me!
Pepper, garlic,
Ter-i-yock-ee.
Other beasts,
Can be jerky too,
Rabbit, deer
And kangaroo.
But you, beef jerky,
are jerky king,
Smoky, chewy,
To you I sing.
So buy a package,
Toss the wrapper,
It's jerky time,
Now shut yer yapper!
